Welcome to Dunbeg Primary School. We are thrilled that we are being considered as your child’s primary school and are proud to serve the community of Dunbeg and the wider Argyll and Bute area. We provide a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Dunbeg Primary School is at the heart of our community, offering a welcoming and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn.

We are proud of our dedicated staff team, strong partnerships with families and our inclusive ethos. Our spacious school grounds and unique location provide exceptional opportunities for outdoor learning.

Surrounded by beaches, forests and local landmarks such as the Scottish Association for Marine Science and Dunstaffnage Castle, our pupils benefit from rich learning experiences connected to nature, history and our wider community.

We warmly encourage all families considering Dunbeg Primary School to book a tour, come and see the school in action, and meet our Headteacher. Visiting in person is the best way to experience our welcoming atmosphere and learn more about what we offer.

Children are eligible to start Primary 1 in August if they will be 5 years of age between 1 March of the start year and the last day of February the following year.

Enrolment normally takes place in January each year. Details are published by Argyll and Bute Council.

Families living outwith the catchment area must submit a placing request to Argyll and Bute Council. Requests are considered in line with the Council’s admissions policy and subject to available capacity.
